Meet Bridget . . .

Hailing from Geelong (Djillong/Wathaurong), singer, songwriter and seasoned musical sorceress Bridget Sharp is a multi-talented musician who has spent her young adult years honing in on her passion, music.

Growing up in a non-musical family, Bridget fell into the craft by chance when asked to sing the solo at her primary school Christmas pageant. From then on, there was no turning back. She threw herself into every single music group at school, learning saxophone, voice and eventually teaching herself piano - music was just something she just understood.

Bridget eventually went on to pursue her passion and graduated from the Australian Institute of Music with a Bachelor of Music (Contemporary Performance) in 2017, where she majored in voice and met her band mates to form fusion project Dandecat (Triple J Unearthed, ABC Melbourne (774), 3AW).

Deciding to take things into her own stride, Bridget released her debut solo single “Overgrown” in August 2021, receiving praise and plays from Triple J, Triple R, BAYFM Geelong 93.9, SYN FM and ABC Melbourne (774). Her latest single, "‘Laundry Day” only builds upon the resume of intricate, homely and heartfelt songwriting that Sharp is capable of.
